Burning Permits:
The Fillmore Township Ordinance for any open fires except in a barrel with a 3/4-inch mesh cover REQUIRES a burning permit. If you do not obtain a burning permit and the Fire Department is called to extinguish the fire, you will be billed for the cost of the run. If you live in Hamilton or Overisel Fire Department areas, you can call Central Dispatch at 616-686-5222 for a burning permit. If you live in the Graafschap Fire Department area, call Chief Cal Haverdink at 335-3050. There is no charge for these permits. |
